A special needs club in Monaghan says "thinking outside of the box" has been vital in keeping its members engaged and motivated during lockdown.

The Monaghan Arch Club provides an outlet for people with special needs to develop their social skills, self-esteem, and quality of life.

Lisa McGlade is a volunteer with the Arch Club and said it's been difficult to go from meeting in person several times a week, to only being able to meet virtually.

The Arch Club is now offering a range of remote fitness classes, alongside a weekly catch-up on Friday evenings.

Lisa McGlade, who is also a volunteer with Monaghan Special Olympics, spoke to Shannonside Northern Sound about what the Arch Club has been up to over lockdown:
