Thousands of farms may be unviable due to the new CAP plan, according to the Irish Farmers Association.
The cabinet yesterday signed off on Ireland's draft Strategic Plan, which will now be sent to the European Commission.
The IFA claims many farmers will suffer big cuts to their payments when it comes into effect in 2023.
