RTE's Nationwide is broadcasting from Monaghan town and county this week.
Elizabeth McGuinness who set up 'Mad About Monaghan' website nearly 12 months ago told today's Wider View that visitor numbers to the county are exciting all expectation.
Mad About Monaghan was established to promote the history, culture and heritage of the county.
It has been a huge success and is contributing to more and more people visiting and exploring the county's gems.
"We do amazing things here with forest parks," she added.
"You have Dartery Forest, Rossmore Forest Park; we have all around Emmy Lough and the Castle Leslie Estate, and other beautiful places to go and visit.
"And, Who knew we had a fabulous waterfall at Castleshane before the Covid-19 pandemic came?
"Then we have amazing crafters all over the county and we have the alpaca farm as well."
