Liam will be laid to rest in Coonian cemetery following 11am funeral mass in St Mary's Church, Brookeborough.

Tributes have been paid following the death of 28 year old Liam Mulligan.

The Co Fermanagh native passed away following a road traffic collision during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

In a statement issued to Shannonside / Northern Sound, police confirmed that 28 year old Liam Mulligan, from the Fivemiletown area, died following a one vehicle road traffic collision on the Belfast Road, near Fivemiletown, in the early hours of Tuesday the 4th of April.

The single vehicle collision, involving a silver Mercedes car, was reported to police shortly before 2.15am on Tuesday morning, however Mr Mulligan sadly died at the scene due to his injuries.

In a statement posted to social media Brookeborough Heber Mac Mahons GFC said, "The Club are deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of former youth player Liam Mulligan.

"We would like to express condolences to his mother Loretta, brothers Kevin, Conor, Martin and sister Shauna. We also wish to offer deepest sympathy to his grandfather Mick and extended Mulligan and Green Families."

Elsewhere, the popular Fermanagh man has been described as a "lovely lad" who was an "absolute gentleman."

An investigation into the collision is underway and officers are appealing to anyone with any information which can assist with their enquiries, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit.
