Tributes have been paid to Monaghan GAA stalwart Eamon McAleer.
Eamon passed away on Sunday last at his home.
Tributes have been paid to the former Monaghan and Ballybay Pearse Brothers GAA footballer. Eamon played for over a decade in the county jersey as a defender in the Monaghan panel. In 2014 Eamon was honoured into the Monaghan GAA Hall of Fame. He was also a founder member of the Ballybay Golf Society in 1982. Ballybay GAA said in a heartfelt post on social media that he was one of the great characters of the town and will be sorely missed.
