Tributes have been paid to well known Monaghan businessman Gerard Kelly who passed away of Sunday the 4th of February.

The proprietor of  Gerard JG Kelly supplies in Monaghan Town passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home. 
 

The popular businessman has been described as a very warm and generous gentleman, Mr Kelly has also been described as a true gentleman  and will be fondly remembered for his decency and the contribution he made to Monaghan, and beyond.

Another tribute described the late Mr Kelly as a man of vision - progressive in his outlook, supportive and kind in his nature.
In a post on social media, Monaghan GAA extended sincere condolences to Gerard’s wife Mardy, sons David, Paul and Patrick and the extended Kelly family at this sad & difficult time.
Mr Kelly was Monaghan GAA main sponsor from 1997 to 1999 and continued to sponsor Monaghan GAA to this day.
