Two men released over collision that killed teenage girls

The two men  arrested earlier this morning in connection with the fatal collision at Legnakelly have since been released.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.

  1. The collision on the 31st of July, led to the deaths of 17-year-old Kiea McCann and 16-year-old Dlava (pr: Duh-Lava) Mohamed.

    The teenagers were on their way to the Largy College school debs, when the car they were travelling in, hit a tree on a section of the N54 at Legnakelly near Clones in County Monaghan.

    The men in their 60s and 40s were arrested this morning - a file will now be prepared for the DPP.
