Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the N54 this morning.
The two vehicle collision, understood to be between a van and a car, occurred just before 7.30 at Brandrum, just outside of Monaghan town.
Emergency services including Gardai and fire crews were called to the scene, and two people were taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed with diversions in place, as Monaghan County Council staff work to clear the scene.
