Leona Maguire has received an honorary doctorate from Ulster University for her outstanding contribution to sport.
The Co Cavan woman’s exceptional career includes being the first Irish golfer to win on the LPGA Tour, securing a top 10 world ranking, and becoming a standout performer in multiple Solheim Cups.
Now she has a doctor’s title to her name following her honorary degree from Ulster University.

The university said that Leona is an inspiration on and off the course, showcasing excellence, determination and leadership.
