A local councillor has sought an update on plans for Shirley House Lane Car Park.
The issue was raised by Councillor PJ O'Hanlon at the most recent Carrickmacross - Castleblayney Municipal District meeting.
In response Cllr O'Hanlon was informed that Part 8 planning pack for Shirley House Lane has been circulated to all relevant council departments for review prior to submission.

Once approved, it is hoped the plan will go forward for full planning permission, which would provide approximately 50 to 55 additional car parking spaces behind the Gifts and Things store.
Speaking to Northern Sound he said the application is expected to be submitted for full planning within the next few weeks.
