A local councillor has welcomed works commencing on the Market House in Castleblayney.
Almost €11 million was allocated back in 2024 to redevelop the historic Market House in Castleblayney.
Sinn Fein's Paul Gibbons said the building has been derelict for 20 years and to see works start has gave the people of Blayney a huge boost.
Together with works already completed at the Gate Lodge, this project will create a people-centric town square that supports economic opportunities.
