'Urgent need' to educate young women on intimate relationship abuse - Women's Aid CEO

Sarah Benson's comments follow the launch of the charity's 'Too Into You Campaign' on social media.

There's an urgent need to educate young women on intimate relationship abuse.

That's according to Women's Aid CEO Sarah Benson, following the launch of the charity's 'Too Into You Campaign' on social media, which is aimed at young women.

A study by the charity has found 1 in 5 women aged 18 to 25 have suffered some form of abuse from a current or ex-partner.

Of those, over half were sexually assaulted, while around 1 in 4 were raped.

Women's Aid CEO, Sarah Benson, told Northern Sound that the charity has focused on the term "intimate relationship abuse" because it hits home more forcefully for young women.
