Vaccine centres operating normally but some disruption in hospitals after cyberattack

There's disruption to services across the country.

Further updates on disruption to services at Cavan and Monaghan Hospitals are expected later.

All radiology appointments, with the exception of urgent maternity cases, have been cancelled after a cyberattack on the HSE.

The hospital is said to be busy today due to delays in processing patients and management have asked only urgent cases to attend.

The Emergency Department in Cavan and Minor Injury unit in Monaghan are both operating.

The HSE has said the Covid-19 vaccine centres in Cavan and Monaghan are operating normally and anyone with an appointment is urged to turn up as normal.

Acting General Manager Suzann O'Callaghan says the local hospitals are operating but IT services have been shut down.
