A 5-year-old girl is receiving emergency medical treatment tonight after a mass stabbing in Dublin earlier.
A woman in her 30s is in a serious condition, a 6-year-old girl sustained "less serious injuries", and a 5-year-old boy has since been discharged from hospital.
A man in his 50s, believed to be the attacker at Parnell Square East, is being treated for his injuries in hospital.
The Garda Commissioner meanwhile has condemned attacks on officers and Garda cars as protests erupted in the capital this evening.
