Warnings have been issued as Cavan and Monaghan are due to come under an orange weather warning today.
People are being advised to plan journeys in advance if they need to travel during the weather warnings today.
The entire country will come under a Status Orange warning today
A Status Orange wind alert is now in effect for Cork, Kerry, Wexford and Waterford and will remain in place until 3pm.
Currently the Northern Sound region is under a yellow warning.
Another orange warning will come into effect from 11am which will impact Cavan and Monaghan.
It's all part of Storm Bram, the second named storm to hit the country in two months.
