People across Monaghan are being called on to "respect the parking bye-laws" at Rossmore Park.
Independent Councillor Seamus Treanor has also warned that ambulances would struggle to access the park given the number of cars "badly parked" in the area.
Councillor Treanor added that it's not possible to further extend the car park without "taking away from the beauty of Rossmore Park".

He told Shannonside Northern Sound that there is no excuse for people encountering cars on pedestrian walkways, and has urged motorists not to park in front of other vehicles if there is no parking space:
