Local TD welcomes talks to find agreement on Legacy Act. The Tánaiste last week met with political parties in Stormont in relation to the legacy of Northern Ireland’s troubled past.
Furthermore, Simon Harris said the Legacy Act, which was enacted by the previous Conservative government in London, is "not fit for purpose."
Mr Harris also said that discussions are ongoing between the Irish and British governments on reform of the Legacy Act.
Last year, the British Government, under Prime Minister Keir Starmer, committed to repealing and replacing the Act.
