'Calendar Girls The Musical' coming to Iontas Theatre this week. North East Musical & Dramatic Society based in Carrickmacross but with members from all over the north east is a community musical society with members ranging from 16 to 70.
Set up during the pandemic; they staged their first ever musical "9 to 5" in 2022 at the Iontas Theatre Castleblayney. Since then they have produced "All Shook Up" (Nov 23) and "The Wedding Singer" (Nov 24).
Now it's the turn of 'Calendar Girls The Musical' a musical written by Gary Barlow & Tim Firth based on the 2003 movie.
Three local charities that are to benefit are Carrick Cancer, Crocus Cancer Support Monaghan and Cara Cancer Support Dundalk.
