Chairperson of the Templeport Development Association, Joe O'Reilly, was reacting to the dumping of household rubbish on Bawn Mountain. Furthermore, he said the perpetrators who drove up to the rural scenic area to dispose of their rubbish have no regard for the area or the people of the area.
Indeed, he said unfortunately this is not the first time illegal dumping has happened along the popular scenic loop walk. The walk is located between Ballyconnell and Bawnboy.
Moreover, Joe believes No Dumping signage in the area highlighting would work as a deterrent. Joe says the wider community is disgusted by this most recent incident. Joe O'Reilly spoke to Northern Sound - listen here:
