Moreover, the local hospital received the award from Age Friendly Ireland; who are delivering the government's vision of an Age Friendly Ireland.
Furthermore, Monaghan has proudly been an Age Friendly County for over a decade. Since Monaghan County Council signed up to the programme in 2011.
Seamus McDermott, Age Friendly Ambassador for Monaghan, is delighted that Monaghan Hospital achieved the Age Friendly Hospital accreditation. The significant improvements made to the hospital enables older patients to enjoy an improved hospital experience. Indeed, it makes the hospital a better place to visit for all.
