This Easter Monday will mark three years since the tragic death of "one of the best" motorsport talents in Ireland, Co Monaghan native Jonathan Treanor. The late Jonathan Treanor known to those who knew him as "Jonny" lost his life back in 2018 following a fatal motorbike collision in Co Donegal. He was 28-years-old at the time of his death. Almost three years on, his mother Josephine wanted to do something to honour the many achievement's of her son and to celebrate his life but didn't know where to start. Having worked in Clones previously, Josephine was familiar with the great work carried out by the local Gone But Not Forgotten group.
She made contact with Annemarie Marshall and from that the Memorial Day in Honour of Jonathan Treanor was born. Jodie Curran spoke with both Josephine and Annemarie ahead of this weekend's event:
