Calls for local palliative care team to be properly resourced. A local councillor is calling on the HSE and the Minister for Health to ensure that Cavan has a properly resourced palliative care team.
Cllr Aine Smith raised the issue at this weeks sitting of Cavan County Council. Highlighting that this wonderful service needs further resourcing and recruitment of staff, as soon as possible.
Cllr Smith believes we are very lucky to have excellent supports provided by Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Fund. Moreover, it is only when this exceptional service is required that people understand how incredible this service is to those in need.
She knows that Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care team provide a service that is nothing short of amazing. Indeed, the many, many families they have helped are testament to that. Ronan Gargan has been speaking to Cllr Smith about her recent motion on this very important issue.
