Listen Back: Cavan volunteers recognised at local awards ceremony

The 2024 Cavan County Council Cathaoirleach's Awards took place at the Cavan Crystal Hotel.

The winner of this year's overall award was Cavan's GAA Health and Wellness Committee.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr Philip Brady said it was "important" to celebrate volunteers who make such a difference right across communities in Co Cavan.

Ronan Gargan spoke to Cllr Brady earlier after that event was held on Thursday evening.
