Cabinet approval was granted to a draft Bill. Indeed, the bill will further regulate nicotine inhaling products, including a complete ban on disposable vapes.
Despite this, Cllr Fay says there has been absolutely no regulation when it comes to this, as he has seen with his own eyes young people who are well under the age of 18 coming out of premises in Cavan Town with a vape.
As a result of leniency shown by those wanting to make a "quick buck," Cllr Fay says we now have a situation where young people are "hooked" yet there are no resources to help them stop.
