Listen Back: €450,000 announced for Clontoe Road. An announcement of a funding allocation of €450,000 made for resurfacing works on the Clontoe Road from Ballinode to Scotstown.
The funding revealed at yesterday's sitting of Monaghan County Council by Chief Executive Robert Burns.
It will offer a safe and alternative road for everyone to use to access Scotstown, Ballinode and Kilmore football field.
Cavan-Monaghan TD Cathy Bennett said she is "delighted" to see that this project has progressed to this stage.
Deputy Bennett said this offers a safer route and will turn into cycle and pedestrian lanes, enhancing overall road safety.
She says this benefit scheme will be a huge benefit to people from across the two villages, particularly young people.
