Listen Back: Eir doesn’t give a dam for its customers - Cllr Conaty. Eir doesn’t give a dam for its customers or its infrastructure according to a local councillor.
Cllr Stiofan Conaty brought a motion to Cavan County Council; the motion calls on the management of Eir to ensure proper maintenance of rural overhead networks carried out.
He says that they should be answerable to the state and to their customers.
Furthermore, Cllr Conaty points out that on most rural roads there are wires hanging; and poles broken from the damage that was caused almost 12 months ago from Storm Eowyn.
Moreover, Cllr Noel Connell said that in some cases farmers are unable to cut hedges due to over hanging wires lying on ditches in rural area and they have been that way in some locations for over a year. Cllr Conaty joined Ronan Gargan on the Wider View to discuss.
