Former Police Ombudsman Bragan search end "50 years of horror". International Day of the Disappeared marked today; at the site of Bragan where the search goes on for the remains of Columba McVeigh; from Donaghmore, Co Tyrone. A fresh dig got underway last week at the Monaghan bog for the remains of the teenager.
Columba was abducted, murdered and secretly buried by the IRA on October 31st, 1975. Columba is one of 17 people known as the Disappeared.
Moreover, the lead investigator with the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains; Eamonn Henry, told Northern Sound this week; he is confident the remains of Columba McVeigh are in Bragan Bog.
Furthermore, this is the seventh search of Bragan bog for Columba McVeigh. Indeed, the former Police Ombudsman in the North, Nuala O'Loan, visited Bragan bog earlier.
