Members of Shercock Tidy Towns are appealing to residents to report any instances of illegal dumping to Cavan County Council.
Indeed, it follows four separate such incidents in the town over a number of weeks.
Moreover, the group believe it is due to a small number of serial dumpers, striking this week at the Shercock Recycling Centre, and another individual has also dumped rubbish on Fair Green.

Carol Smyth from Shercock Tidy Towns says the group remains determined to stamp out this unacceptable behaviour in the community. She has been speaking to Ronan Gargan about the illegal dumping in Shercock.
