Local councillor highlights concerns surrounding e-scooters. A local councillor has raised the issue surrounding the hazards that scooters can have when used on footpaths. Cllr Niamh Brady brought up a motion at the most recent sitting of Cavan County Council on the issue.
She said there was a major safety following the prevalence of an increase of scooter users on our roads. A Cavan councillor highlighted her concerns on the issue. Moreover, this was following a vulnerable person having a near miss from a scooter on a footpath in Cavan Town recently.
