Local elderly couple left in 'limbo' 6 weeks on from Storm Eowyn. A local councillor has raised the issue of an elderly couple living in Co Cavan who are still without access to a landline phone 44 days on from Storm Eowyn.
Cllr Noel Connell raised the issue at yesterday's meeting of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District. He said that the elderly couple, one aged in their 90s; and one in their late 80s; has been left in limbo due to a lack of communication from Eir.
He has been telling Ronan Gargan that they also have the added worry that the red button alarm that they have for security has not been working since the storm hit.
