Local encouragement to use a cupla focail during Seachtain na Gaeilge. Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries.
It showcases our native language and runs from the 1st of March until the 17th March each year.
According to local councillor and Irish teacher Aine Smith, the event is about celebration and promotion of the Irish language. Ronan Gargan has been speaking to Co Cavan woman about the gra for as gaeilge.
