A discussion around the impact of the closure of key businesses in town and village centres and what can be done to preserve indigenous industry there took place at Monday's meeting of Cavan County Council.
The conversation was initiated by Cllr Sarah O'Reilly who believes that the closure of hotels in town centres locally is having the most negative impact. Cllr O'Reilly spoke to the Wider View about what her vision is for future town centres.
She started off by explaining that some town centres are struggling more than others.
