Local pensioners encouraged to avail of panic button system. A County Monaghan woman who owns a alarm company that supply's panic buttons to older people living in their homes; is encouraging people to avail of a government grant.
Indeed, Clones native, Sharon Forster from Care Direct 24/7, is a provider of Telecare & Telehealth care; assistive technologies; and enablement products; throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland. Furthermore, they provide a 24 hour monitoring service; 7 days a week; 365 days a year; providing lifelines and panic buttons.
The Seniors Alert Scheme (SAS) supports eligible people aged 65 years or older to get a monitored personal alarm. The alarm enables people who are eligible to continue to live securely in their homes; giving them confidence and peace of mind.
The Scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and administered by Pobal. Eligible people can apply for equipment available through their local community; voluntary; and not-for-profit organisation registered with Pobal.
