Indeed, it is a national initiative that supports young people to advocate for youth work; and represent the voices of young people in their communities.
Furthermore, Mia has involved herself with Cavan and Monaghan Rainbow Youth and joins Mullahoran based Local Champion Aoibhe Beatty; who is a returning local champion.
Moreover, young people aged 18-25 who have experienced the benefits of youth work become Local Champions; and want to help ensure that decision-makers recognise and support youth services.
Jodie Curran spoke earlier with Mia and began by asking her how she first got involved with the NYCI.
