A Co Monaghan book club are currently featuring on a RTE one entitled Book Club.
Mannan Castle Golf Book Club in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, made up of five friends from the golf club have been appearing on the series that airs every Wednesday night.
The first episode featured the locals but over the next four weeks, the Co Monaghan club will be showcased on the show that is now its second year of production. Like all good book clubs, their gatherings extend beyond simple reviews, instead delving into personal connections with each book. Expect lots of laughter, disagreements and even some tears.
Links to local libraries through the series' website and engagement with local bookshops mean that viewers at home can join in on the fun by reading along.
