The Egyptian authorities praised for their response to the case of a local woman who has been granted full custody of her two sons by prosecutors there.
Indeed, 37 year old Mandy Kelly is from Monaghan. Ms Kelly has been campaigning since 2022 for the return of her children. Moreover, she has won a landmark legal challenge in Cairo.
However, a police search is underway. The boys and their father are missing along with some of his family members. Dr Míceál O’Hurley who is a senior mediator with Munster Mediation has been acting as a mediator for Mandy says there's only one person to blame for their disappearance. Ronan Gargan spoke to Micheal before coming on air.
