A public consultation is currently underway for Monaghan's Biodiversity Action Plan.
The aim of the consultation is for local people have their say on what needs to be done; over the next five years, when it comes to biodiversity in the county.
There are in person opportunities in Monaghan Town, Clones, Carrickmacross, and Ballybay and Castleblayney to meet with Monaghan's Biodiversity officer, Patrica McCreesh.
There is also an online portal that has opened for people to participate online and have their say.
Patricia McCreesh says biodiversity is alive and well in Monaghan but this plan is about achieving the very best for the county. She has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
