Listen Back: Monaghan children with special needs 'left in limbo'. "Monaghan's children with special needs continue to be failed by the Department of Education time and time again."
That's according to Paddy McAloon who is part of the 'Special Needs Active Parents' campaign.
Furthermore, children with special needs in Co Monaghan are trying to get into post primary schools, however only seven places available.
Moreover, ten children, including Paddy's son, are without places in Our Lady's in Castleblayney; and two in St, McCartan's College in Monaghan.
According to the local father, parents have been left "upset"; with fears that up to 20 or more children could be without a place come September.
Indeed, Paddy highlights that this current situation is not a reflection on the schools; as teaching staff are doing their upmost best with tied hands.
Mr McAloon says this is a "direct failure" of the system. Thus something must be done before parents have to take this matter directly to Dail Eireann.
