Monaghan native Donnchadh MacGabhann will officially launch his new novel 'The Long Shadow' on February the 2nd next.
It's a dystopian novel that is set around the Covid-19 pandemic and how the world would be if a vaccine had not been discovered.
The Monaghan man says the novel is a mix or fiction and non fiction and he uses his knowledge of history and science to build a world that is surreal and dysfunctional.

Donnchadh spoke to the Wider View this week and he started off by explaining the focus of this new offering.
