Monaghan SOSAD stepped up when it was needed. Cllr Pauric Clerkin has called on Monaghan County Council to write to Minister for Mental Health Mary Butler and the HSE. Indeed, the letter is in relation to providing vital funding that will allow SOSAD Ireland to retain its messaging service. SOSAD operates across the North East; including Cavan and Monaghan. Moreover, SOSAD announced on Sunday that it would cease its messaging service from today.
The shocking announcement prompted Cllr Clerkin to put forward a motion at yesterday's siting of Monaghan County Council.
