Older people's council to make Monaghan a 'great place to grow old in'. A local man has highlighted the importance of making Co Monaghan a great place to grow old in.
Paddy Gollogly is Chairperson of the the Monaghan Older People's Council (OPC).
Indeed, the purpose of the Older Peoples Council is to provide an opportunity for older people from aged 55 plus across the County to come together. Moreover, this is to share concerns and experiences, and to inform the decision-making process of the Monaghan Age Friendly Programme.
Furthermore, the Older Peoples Council works alongside the Monaghan Age Friendly Alliance; HSE; Cavan Monaghan ETB; Monaghan County Council; An Garda Síochána; Local Link; Alone; business; and education sectors; to deliver on agreed actions that will improve the lives of older people living across communities.
