Sinn Fein's Colm Carthy has "welcomed" progress on a feasibility study for a leisure centre in Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan.
Monaghan County Council are currently preparing tender documentation for the engagement of professional services to carry out the feasibility study and strategic assessment report.
According to the local authority, professional services tender invitations will be published in December.
