Cavan is hosting the Regional Final of The Young Cook of the Year competition in Cavan Institute today, Wednesday. Schools from Cavan, Monaghan, Meath and Louth have participated in the programme and the event is a follow on from the local finals held in January.
Pauric White is the Instructor on the Commis Chef Apprenticeship in Cavan Institute and he spoke to the Wider View about the excitement that is building locally in anticipation of the event. Padraic began by explaining how the competition came to fruition in the first instance.
