Residential vacancy rates locally above national average. The number of derelict properties around the country has fallen, according to the latest GeoDirectory Residential Buildings Report.
Furthermore, in Cavan the residential vacancy rate stands at 6.7% in Q2 of this year. In comparison to the national record low of 3.7%.
Moreover, a total of 80,328 residential properties recorded as vacant across the country. This is as of June 2025.
Additionally, the lowest vacancy rates in the country were recorded in Dublin at 1.1%. Whilst, the highest residential vacancy rates continue to be found along the North and West coast. Indeed, with Leitrim at 11.9%.
