Two local animals are in the running to become this year's Nose of Tralee.
Petsitters Ireland run the competition annually.
Each year a pet is picked to represent each county, with the winner chosen by public vote.
The competition is now underway with voting closing at 5pm on August 17th and the overall winner being announced on August 18th. In Cavan, 7 month old Waffle has changed the lives of his owners Pamela and Stephen Gribbon forever.
They say apart from being the cutest little pup, she brings fun, mischievousness and so much love to their Killeshandra home.
Pamela says in the short time we've had her, she's the center of our worlds and we would be lost without her.
The Co Cavan woman says Waffle has had a huge positive impact on her and her husband's life and she believes she deserves to be Nose of Tralee. Pamela spoke to Ronan Gargan at this year's Arva Show.
