Co Monaghan student dazzled the nation last Friday after he performed his latest song, ‘Solas’ live on RTE’s Late Late Show.

Jamie Duffy from Glaslough described his experience as “amazing” added that it was everything he hoped it would be.

Jamie’s composition of his solo piano track titled ‘Solas’ was originally released last year, however with the help of his music label, he pushed it out again recently to the delight of music-lovers including Ryan Tubridy.

‘Solas’ means lights and according to the local musician that’s what he wants this song to portray – light and hope.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Jamie said the feedback he has received since his live performance has been “very reassuring.
