Local Virginia students want education to be 'fair for all'. The final day of this year's BT Young Scientist competition is currently underway today. Local schools have entered 17 projects to this years event. Moreover, 9 from Cavan and 8 from Monaghan.
Included in this year's competition is Virginia College students Aoife Kearney and Anatassia Taylor with their investigation into a new and efficient way of education for students with sensory issues in mainstream classes. Indeed, third year students at the local school, Aoife and Anatassia, said their project shows that thoughtful intervention using tailored audio technology has the potential to make mainstream classrooms more inclusive and supportive for students with sensory issues.
