The GAA's recent congress continues to be noted for his historical nature not only for it been conducted online due to Covid 19 restrictions, but for some of the decisions taken at it.
The most telling one was the passing of a motion for a split season which will see the senior intercounty championship concluding by the end of July, thus allowing clubs to have a fixtures calendar of their own that wont be effected by the county season.
That decision seen the Club Players Association disband after they initially set up in 2016 looking to represent the club player and call for a structure in regards to fixtures.
Roscommon CPA representative Tommy Kenoy highlighted that the passing of the split season was up there with some of the biggest decisions made by the GAA
