The Cavan club championship draws took place last night (Monday 9th) with Round 1 seeing Ramor United getting their defence of the title underway with a meeting against Kingscourt. Last year beaten finalists Gowna will take on Killygarry, while the intermediate champions of 2021 Butlersbridge go up against Laragh United. Butlersbridge Chairperson Tommy Owens says winning the intermediate championship last year was great for the club.
The other pairings will see Lavey taking on Lacken, Crosserlough up against Cavan Gaels and Mullahoran facing Ballinagh. Having claimed the Juinor title in 2021, Denn will get their intermediate campaign underway when they face Killashandra The Hurling championship draw seen East Cavan Gaels paired against Mullahoran St Josephs while Cootehill take on Pearse Og.
