The draws for next season's provincial football championships will take place tonight (Thursday) at Croke Park. All four provincial councils have come together to hold the draws, which will be broadcast live on the GAA's official channels from 7pm. The 2026 campaign is due to begin with the return of pre-season competitions in early January.
The group draws for the Dr. Mc Kenna cup have been confirmed. Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh are in Group B with Armagh, Down and Tyrone in Group A. Donegal who last won the competition in 2023 with it not be held this year are alongside Antrim and Derry. The competition which will celebrates its centenary will get underway in early January with fixtures to be confirmed shortly
The groups for the Ulster U20 and Minor football championships have also been confirmed.
The U20 competition will see Monaghan, Fermanagh, Donegal, Derry and Antrim in Group A with Armagh, Cavan, Down and Tyrone the defending All Ireland champions in Group B. The minor competition has a similar format of 2 groups. Monaghan, Antrim, Armagh, Derry and Donegal are in Group A with Cavan, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone in the 2nd group.
